Hello, friends.
And I expect you’re all still – literally – reeling from Jeremy’s amazing performance at Our Glasto, aren’t you, friends? Even the Hard-Right BBC had to reluctantly concede that the Far-Right Glasto audience was – literally – eating out of Jeremy’s hand!
Unbelievable, friends!
Wow, what an amazing time it’s been for all of us on the Progressive Left since June 8th, hasn’t it, friends? If anyone had told me, three short weeks ago, that within three short weeks, Jeremy would be the headline act at the Hard-Right Glastonbury, as well as Prime Minister, I – literally – wouldn’t have believed them!
Puzzled, friends!
I must admit, though, friends, that one thing does puzzle me. Given that, as we all know, Jeremy is now Our PM, why is the hated Far-Right Bullingdon Bully Boy May still residing in the Hard-Right Downing Street? And, for that matter, why is Our John (he of the Little Read Book fame) telling us that we need a million people on the streets on July 1st to force another election, given that, as we all know, Labour won the General Election?
Hey ho, I guess we mustn’t get bogged down by neoliberal pedantry, friends. Anyway, here’s my latest selection of Saveed’s Greatest Hitettes from the Far-Right Guardian. As ever, a link to the original article and my comment, along with any replies, is provided under each piece.
Labour has the stench of death – meet the killers (article by Nick Cohen, 17.7.16)
In reply to Sirhlyon:
It is also completely untrue to say middle class labour voters don’t want tax rises. Every labour supporter I know would support them.
That is my experience too. Every single Labour supporter I know wants tax rises on the better-off, i.e. people who are better-off than them.

One month after the referendum, are predictions of Brexit blight coming true? (survey, 23.7.16)
Friends! Those of us on the Progressive Left – and there are many of us, friends, e.g. me – are naturally extremely concerned about Our Estate Agents and Our Bankers being negatively affected by Brexit.
Unemployment being at its lowest level for over a decade is no consolation at all.

British economy begins to show signs of post-Brexit slowdown (report, 28.7.16)
Friends! Only the 1% and the Banksters benefit from Brexit! No wonder the IMF, Treasury, Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan campaigned so hard for the Leave campaign!
And now, with the British economy literally collapsing, this totally unelected Government is going to pay for this crisis of Neoliberal Brexitism by savagely attacking some of the weakest and most vulnerable people in our so-called society – which, friends, never let it be forgotten, Thatcher first denied the existence of, and then totally destroyed – i.e. Our Junior Doctors, who are now being forced to work 95-hour weeks on Zero Hour Contracts for poverty pay, while the evil Bullingdon Bully Boy Hunt sadistically quaffs champagne whilst burning £50 notes in front of them.
No wonder, friends, that we on the Progressive Left are revolting!

European banks prepare for possible shockwaves from stress test results (report, 26.7.16)
Friends! Please do not forget that, if any European banks should go under, that the problem all started in America in 2008, i.e. Northern Rock in 2007, when the Banksters – e.g. that bigoted woman, the Hard-Right Duffy – predictably wrecked everything, which no-one could have predicted, least of all Our Gordon, who after all had abolished Boom and Bust, and in any case was only in charge of the British economy at the time, and who subsequently saved the World, and indeed elsewhere, before the Tories once again wrecked everything by their policy of extreme Austerity and ever-higher Bedroom Taxes.

My partner and I are at breaking point over Brexit (piece by Mariella Frostrup, 31.7.16)
Friends! Believe it or not, things could be worse.
I once had a partner who confessed to me that she had actually considered voting Tory in the 1983 General Election in which – as many of you doubtless remember – Thatcher barely scraped to victory.
More recently, I had a friend – now, obviously, an “ex-friend” – who refused to rule out ever voting UKIP, on the spurious grounds that “It might depend a bit on what their policies actually are in the future”.
Friends, those of us on the Progressive Left – and there are many of us, friends, e.g. me – are constantly faced with appalling dilemmas like these, which challenge our broad-minded, liberal and above all tolerant views.
For me, friends, the answer is always crystal-clear: Never tolerate Far-Right racists and bigots in any shape or form. Their sheer unbridled neoliberalism disgusts me.

Donald Trump’s treatment of a crying baby reveals his total lack of empathy (article by Jonathan Freedland, 3.8.16)
Friends! This courageous, outspoken baby was obviously protesting as loudly as it could against Far-Right Neoliberal Racist Fascism, in the only way it knew how to.
No wonder Hard-Right bigots wish to deny babies the right to vote – the cynical calculation being that, since babies have not yet been totally brainwashed by the Far-Right Murdoch-controlled Monopoly Media, e.g. the Hard-Right Guardian, they will invariably vote for the Progressive Left candidate.
And then people wonder why those of us on the Progressive Left are revolting!

If peers apply the brakes to Brexit, we’ll be doing our job (article by Patience Wheatcroft, 5.8.16)
Well said, Patience.
Obviously, the fact that, as you so wisely point out, “some who voted out are already voicing misgivings”, is a compelling reason to have a second Referendum, especially as extensive and reliable polling evidence – carried out by myself – shows that not a single person who voted Remain has changed their minds, and are as one in knowing that their decision was utterly correct, especially given that all the Remain Campaign’s warnings about total economic collapse, accelerating Climate Change, World War III and higher roaming charges have now come true with a vengeance.
Whether they realise it or not, that tiny handful of 17,410,742 Hard-Right racists, who misguidedly voted against Our EU in June, are either members of the 1%, or are their running-dogs. And in either case, friends, they speak for absolutely nobody but themselves.
Thank goodness, friends, that Our House of Lords are prepared to stand up for the ordinary, decent, 48% of us who voted for Hope rather than Hate. Even though we may have “lost” the (first) Referendum, that was only in the purely mathematical sense.
We, friends, are the Moral Majority, and we shall – and must – prevail.
